Concise total syntheses of the bioactive mesotricyclic diterpenoids jatrophatrione and citlalitrione

The highly functionalized [5.9.5] tricyclic framework resident in jatrophatrione (1) and citlalitrione (2) has been synthesized. The route begins with the tandem anionic oxy-Cope rearrangement/methylation/transannular ene cyclization of 21 and subsequent introduction of a conjugated enone double bond. Hydroxyl-directed 1,4-reduction of this functionality in 25 with LiAlH(4)/CuI/hexamethylphosphoramide/tetrahydrofuran sets the stage for the implementation of a Grob fragmentation and expedited generation of 27. Stereocontrolled intramolecular hydrosilylation allows for the subsequent introduction of a cyclic carbonate as in 53. This intermediate undergoes remarkably efficient, fully regiocontrolled Treibs reaction to generate 54, with this maneuver serving as a pivotal step for making 1 available five steps later. Treatment of 1 with m-chloroperbenzoic acid leads to 2, with attack occurring preferentially on a alpha-face of the double bond more remote to the carbonyl.     

A New Glycoside and a Novel‐Type Diterpene from Hemerocallis fulva (L.) L.

The CHCl₃ extract of dried roots of Hemerocallis fulva (L.) L. afforded a novel diterpene named hemerocallal A ( 1 ), which is the second reported naturally occurring diterpene with a trans‐bicyclo[5.1.0]octane system. The BuOH extract afforded a new glycoside named hemerocalloside ( 2 ). Their structures were established on the basis of spectroscopic and chemical studies.     

淫羊藿根与叶活性成分的分析和比较

采用细胞膜色谱法（ＣＭＣ）筛选，并结合离体药理实验确定主要活性成分，利用高效液相色谱法分析比较了淫羊藿根与叶中的活性成分及其差异性．色谱条件为Ｋｒｏｍａｓｉｌ ＯＤＳ 柱（１５０ ｍｍ× ４．６ ｍｍ．Ｉ．Ｄ ）流动相甲醇－水（７０：３０，Ｖ：Ｖ）；检测波长２７０ｎｍ。筛选发现淫羊藿根中的两个有效成分ＹＹＨ－２１４和ＹＹＨ－２１６对血管有较强的舒张作用，表明活性成分在ＣＭＣ模型体系中的保留特性与药理作用之间存在良好的相关性。在此色谱条件下淫羊藿叶未检测到这两种活性成分．     

Sesquiterpene Lactone Glycosides from Carpesium macrocephalum

Two new sesquiterpene lactone glycosides were isolated from the seeds of Carpesium meacrocephalum. Their structures were elucidated as 2α-O-β-D-glucopyranosy-5α,11αH-eudesma-4(15)-en-12,8β-olide and 2α-O-β-D-glucopyranosy-5αH-eudesma-4(15),11(13)-dien-12,8β-olide by spectral methods (HRMS,1D and 2D NMR).     

金(Ⅲ)与杯[4]乙酯合钠(Ⅰ)超分子化合物: [Na(C60H80O12)]+[Au(SCN)4]-的合成、结构及性能

A novel super molecule [Na(C₆₀H₈₀O₁₂)]⁺[Au(SCN)₄]^- was obtained by extraction of calix[4] arene (L) for an aqueous solution containing [AuCl₄]^-, and NaCl into CH₂Cl₂. The crystal structure and properties of the title super molecule were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, IR and ¹H NMR spectra. The X-ray single crystal structure analysis shows that the crystal was Tetragonal system with space group P4/n and the unit cell parameters were as follows: a=2.880 8(18) nm, b=2.880 8(18) nm, c=2.292 4(5) nm, and final R indices [I>2σ(I)]: R₁=0.048 5, wR₂=0.106 1. CCDC: 243229.     

Kinetic modeling of the adsorption rate of a gaseous adsorbate on a granular adsorbent by ultra-rapid-scanning Fourier transform infrared spectrometry

A novel method for determining the rates of adsorption of gaseous adsorbates on granular adsorbents in the millisecond time regime is described. Mixtures of the adsorbate and nitrogen are passed through a solenoid valve and 100 mg of the adsorbent for periods of (typically) 100 ms. The concentration of the adsorbate passing into a low-volume, long path length gas cell is measured with an ultra-rapid-scanning Fourier transform infrared spectrometer capable of gathering 200 mid-infrared spectra per second with 6-cm(-1) resolution. The pressure of the gas entering the cell is measured simultaneously with a capacitance manometer. A dynamic mathematical model was developed to analyze and describe the results in terms of a Langmuir isotherm. The success of this approach is demonstrated by the estimation of the rate of adsorption of vapor-phase acetaldehyde on aminopropylsilylated granular silica gel.     

Avoiding negative populations in explicit Poisson tau-leaping

The explicit tau-leaping procedure attempts to speed up the stochastic simulation of a chemically reacting system by approximating the number of firings of each reaction channel during a chosen time increment tau as a Poisson random variable. Since the Poisson random variable can have arbitrarily large sample values, there is always the possibility that this procedure will cause one or more reaction channels to fire so many times during tau that the population of some reactant species will be driven negative. Two recent papers have shown how that unacceptable occurrence can be avoided by replacing the Poisson random variables with binomial random variables, whose values are naturally bounded. This paper describes a modified Poisson tau-leaping procedure that also avoids negative populations, but is easier to implement than the binomial procedure. The new Poisson procedure also introduces a second control parameter, whose value essentially dials the procedure from the original Poisson tau-leaping at one extreme to the exact stochastic simulation algorithm at the other; therefore, the modified Poisson procedure will generally be more accurate than the original Poisson procedure.     

A new method for the quantitation of aflatoxin M1 in urine by high performance liquid chromatography and its application to the etiologic study of hepatoma

A high performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) method for the analysis of aflatoxin M1 (AFM1) in urine is described. Urine samples were treated with saturated lead acetate and AFM1 was extracted with chloroform. After washing with water to remove impurities the compound was derivatized with trifluoroacetic acid and the AFM1 derivative was analyzed quantitatively by HPLC. The sample pretreatment is simple and more selective. A good line correlation between AFM1 peak height and its concentration was obtained when AFM1 content was in the range of 50-400 pg. The ratio of recovery was 87.42%. Sensitivity is 0.01 ppb. The method is applicable to trace analysis. Results in urine of residents who live in the high/low liver cancer incidence area in Fushui county were the same as that of previous epidemiological investigation.

Concise synthesis of ether analogues of lysobisphosphatidic acid

We describe a versatile, efficient method for the preparation of ether analogues of (S,S)-lysobisphosphatidic acid (LBPA) and its enantiomer from (S)-solketal. Phosphorylation of a protected sn-2-O-octadecenyl glyceryl ether with 2-cyanoethyl bis-N,N-diisopropylamino phosphine and subsequent deprotection generated the bisether LBPA analogues. By simply changing the sequence of deprotection steps, we obtained the (R,R)- and (S,S)-enantiomers of 2,2'-bisether LBPA. An ELISA assay with anti-LBPA monoclonal antibodies showed that the bisether LBPAs were recognized with the same affinity as the natural 2,2'-bisoleolyl LBPA. [reaction: see text]
